18U Schwarz Impresses at Toronto Blue Jays Canadian Futures Showcase
Outfielder Preston Schwarz turned heads to Eastern Ontario while taking part in the 2023 Toronto Blue Jays Canadian Futures Showcase. Preston was selected to the Navy Team (one of six teams in this tournament). Preston impressed scouts and coaches early on with his defense, plate presence and mature, outgoing personality. He truly turned heads by running the fast 60 yard dash with a time of 6.46 seconds as high lighted by the Canadian Baseball Network.
The TBJ Futures Showcase ran from September 19th to the 23rd at the Rogers Centre. It involved 150 amateur players from across Canada.
