ONC Fall Invite 15U Tournament Rules

General Information:

  • Game Prep: Teams must arrive and be prepared at least 20 minutes before their scheduled game.
  • Roster Submission: Rosters must be submitted before the first pitch of each team’s first game. Additional players can be added during the event if needed.

Age Eligibility:

  • Age is determined by the May 1st 2010 or high school graduation year. 

Seeding & Tie-Breakers:

Top two in each pool advances. Tie breakers rules are as follows:

  1. Win/Loss Record
  2. Head-to-Head (not applicable for 3+ teams tied)
  3. Runs Allowed
  4. Runs Scored
  5. Runs Allowed in Losses
  6. Runs Scored in Losses

Game Play:

  • Dugout Limit: Teams are encouraged to have only 3 coaches in the dugout.
  • Bat Regulations: BPF 1.15 or BBCOR; max drop of 3.
  • Illegal Bat Penalties: Batters using illegal bats will be ruled out; no advanced runners unless prior to identification of the illegal bat. Three infractions will result in coach ejection.

Mercy Rule:

  • 15 runs after 4 innings
  • 10 runs after 5 innings
  • 8 runs after 6 innings

Batting Lineups:

  • Hit 9 with or without a DH.
  • Hit 10 with one EH (extra hitter).
  • Hit 11 with a DH and two EHs.
  • Continuous lineup with free substitutions allowed.

Pitching:

  • No pitch count or innings limitation enforced.

Complete Games & Extra Innings:

  • Complete games: 5 innings (4.5 if home team is ahead) for 7-inning games.
  • No extra innings during pool play; California rules will apply for championship games.

Registration fees are non-refundable. Event dates, times, and locations are subject to change. ONC reserves the right to modify, postpone, or cancel the tournament for weather or other reasons and may offer future-event credit at their discretion. Participants must adhere to ONC’s Code of Conduct; misconduct may result in sanctions. Rosters are final upon submission. Teams must secure their own insurance; ONC is not liable for injuries or damages. Registration implies agreement to photography/media usage. These terms are governed by Ontario law.
