ONC Canadians Open Their Season; Canucks Head to Eastern NY for Weekend Three
First pitch is here. After months of indoor work, all eight ONC Elite teams take the field this weekend to open the 2026 season, with games running from 13U through 18U.
Canadians Season Openers — May 2–3
The Canadians enter 2026 with eight teams in the program, including a brand-new 17U squad and a new 14U Development group. Seven ONC teams are in action this weekend. Here’s how opening weekend shapes up:
- 13U Elite — Hosting a busy four-game home weekend against Great Lake Canadians, Ontario Nationals, and Selects.
- 14U Minor — On the road for a four-game series at Ontario Nationals 14U Minor.
- 14U Major and 15U Elite — Opening the season with an intra-club home-and-home series. A great early test and a strong way to kick things off in front of home fans.
- 16U Elite — Travelling to face ABC 16U for four games over the weekend.
- 17U Elite — In their first weekend as a team, the new 17U club heads to ABC 17U for a four-game opening series.
- 18U Elite — Hosting the 2026 Terriers for a four-game home set to open the year.
- 14U Dev — No games on the schedule this weekend; the program's newest squad gets one more week of development before joining the action.
It’s a packed opening weekend — especially in Ottawa, where 13U, 14U Major, 15U, and 18U will all be in action across Saturday and Sunday.
Canucks: Eastern New York, Week Three
While the Canadians are getting started, the Canucks — the club's development program — are heading south for their third straight weekend of play in Eastern New York, continuing their early-season trip across the border.
Through two weekends, the Canucks have shown plenty:
- 11U Canucks lead the way at 5–1, including a doubleheader sweep of the Mariners 10U last weekend and a 19–6 statement win over the Columbia Clippers in week one.
- 10U Canucks sit at 4–2, including back-to-back blowouts over the Cap City Kings (12–1, 18–10) and a 13–2 win over the Hudson Valley Ravens.
- 12U Price is at 3–3 after taking the rubber match against Battle Ready Baseball and sweeping a doubleheader against the Upper Deck Titans last weekend.
- 12U Toneguzzi is 2–5 but trending the right way, taking both ends of a doubleheader against the Junior Blue Sox by scores of 15–7 and 10–7.
This Weekend's Canucks Schedule (May 2–3)
- 10U Canucks — Saturday vs. Columbia Clippers 9U (DH); Sunday vs. Voorheesville Blackbirds 9 (DH).
