ONC's New Director of Baseball Programs
The Ottawa Nepean Canadians Baseball Club is excited to announce the appointment of Evan Grills to the role of Director of Baseball Programs.

Drafted by the Houston Astros in 2010, Evan has played professionally for the past 12 years, including this season as a member of the Ottawa Titans of the  MLB-affiliated Frontier League.

Over the last three-and-a-half years while playing professionally in the US, Canada and Taiwan, Grills has been working with ONC pitchers and players.

Evan reached Triple-A twice, with both the Houston Astros and Colorado Rockies organizations. Named to the Astros 2016 organizational all-star team, Grills was 36-32 with a 4.25 earned-run average over 608 innings pitched in the minors.

As Evan's pro baseball career winds down, he has been taking a more active role in ONC's program strategy, planning and execution, while learning about ONC, our role in the community, and our history of excellence.

That makes this appointment a natural evolution for ONC and for Evan.

As part of this transition, ONC Board member Brad Fairholm will focus on player recruitment across the Eastern Ontario region, and continue working on player development.

As Director of Baseball Programs, Evan will oversee all on-field baseball activities, team, player and coach development and performance, baseball-related partnerships, and work with the Board on our continuous efforts to elevate the ONC program.
